Thomas J. Brewer

Tom Brewer has a wealth of marketing, sales and service experience over the past three decades with Ford Motor Company. Tom has held a variety of senior executive level positions with Ford and his wide scope and depth of experience comes from holding key international positions and becoming highly effective in environments with constant change and in emerging markets. He has held a range of positions in marketing and sales, with responsibilities covering marketing strategies, retail campaigns, customer service, distribution network and dealer development. Key positions include: Director of Sales, Marketing and Service Ford of Brazil, National General Marketing Manager of Lincoln Mercury, President of Ford Operations Thailand, Vice President Marketing, Sales and Service with Ford Asia Pacific & Africa, and most recently prior to retirement, General Manager for Ford Motor Company in the Western United States (WMA). In this position he managed and was accountable for business results related to profit and loss. The WMA was consistently the #1 performing market and contributed profits of over $1 billion on a net revenue of nearly $10 billion and nearly 700,000 retail and fleet vehicle sales annually. He was responsible for 165 employees and 450 dealerships. Tom is a leader who drives change through compassionate leadership and gets results through team building, partnership development, strong business acumen, process improvement, disciplined follow-up and ultra-competitiveness. As a leader and coach, he was highly regarded for rescuing and motivating stalled teams and organizations by recapturing “hearts and minds” in order to drive performance and increase revenue. Tom has a gift for identifying talented employees, developing them into outstanding leaders and leading ordinary people to do extraordinary things. He has been a GRIP Ford Mentor for four years. Tom has a pilot’s license, enjoys golf, running and spending time with his wife and three boys. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing from the University of Florida and a Corporate Business Marketing Diploma from Duke Fuqua School of Business.
